The Thaylian Asylum- Stories of the Insane, the Dead and the Damned

Volumes 1-3

On the 13th of September 2001, the population of the Thaylian Asylum were reported missing. Of the 68 patients and 27 staff, with the exception of one survivor, only fragments remained, leading to the conclusion a terrible struggle had taken place. The surviving witness was unfortunately unable to give any coherent account of what had occurred and for three years the case remained open. However, during a renovation project of the premises in 2004, a secret archive was discovered in a hidden sub level containing over 15,000 documents. On further analysis, it was determined that the documents found were written by the patients themselves, under increasingly unusual conditions, which according to a former inmate of the facility, were attempts at channelling, otherwise known as automatic writing. This highly unorthodox practise was headed by Dr. Varn Lazarus, the owner of the institution. It was also claimed that the intention was to channel messages from an asylum located in the heart of Hell itself. Although it cannot be established if these accounts had any truth, extracts from Dr Lazarus’ journals appear to give some validity to the claims made. Within these three volumes of The Thaylian Asylum, the most coherent documents are now being published for the first time; stories, letters and diary extracts from these archives appear to shed a great deal of light upon what happened at the institution, but as yet, it is undetermined if these are the stories of the insane, the dead, or the damned…

From award winning author D G Jones comes the long awaited Thaylian Asylum, set out in three volumes. From what at first appears to be a collection of unrelated stories, it soon becomes apparent that it is in fact a huge novel that not only relates the fate of the asylum itself, but has several different narrative threads running through it. As with many of the writer’s other works, The Thaylian Asylum is a multi-level piece that crosses several genres, filled with secrets, hidden homages and in jokes exploring life, death, revenge, love, hatred, sexual deviance and all things in between. The Thaylian Asylum is a cartwheeling journey that leaves the reader in a breathless tail spin.

Lynchpin

THE MACHINE trilogy is now complete…

After the events of THE MACHINE, the Green section is now an area of dissent and insurrection, and threatens to fly apart in bloodshed. Seen through the eyes of worker green 403, the slow burning fuse of rebellion has been lit, as death and brutality slither through the walkways and gantries of the giant mechanical behemoth. Soon he must confront the secret of the Lynchpin and unravel the purpose of THE MACHINE itself.

In the final part of The Machine trilogy, D G Jones completes the tale and delivers a fast paced twisting novel of fear and oppression. Filled with his usual hidden meanings and secrets, the novel rapidly draws the reader into a dark world vision, where lurks the final shattering revelation of all that has been…

Three Horror Classics Ruined

Alien, The Thing, The Fly. Three of the greatest horror movies ever made. Have
nothing to do with this mini book. Well, maybe a bit. But it’s for a good cause;
all profits made from the sale of this book are going to charity.

Once
again loose upon the Earth, award winning anarchic horror writer D G Jones, the
Flayed Prince himself, returns with an all new mini book of parodies. Something
never before seen, except for that one he did a few years ago. Juvenile humour,
repulsive jokes about bodily functions, and three horror scenarios that might
seem more than just a little familiar…

Three Horror Classics Ruined
includes:

A Lie in: The Nostradamus is plodding home and receives a
strange alien signal leading to some rather unpleasant goings on for everyone
involved …

The Thong: The crew of an American research base suddenly find
themselves under siege from a shape shifting monster and things get a bit sticky
in the underpants…

The Flea: A mad scientist, a dangerous experiment, and
a small insect, what could possibly go wrong? Quite a lot actually… (Original
transcript of the DVD commentary)

Because in space, Man is the warmest
place to be very afraid.

“Having only ever written one parody before,
this is relatively new territory for me. It was inspired by my friend and fellow
writer Kitty Glitter whose work I adore, and it was a lot of fun to write. All
the proceeds from Three Horror Classics Ruined are going to one of my favourite
homelessness charities, so please enjoy and huge thanks for your support.” D G

The Empyrean Carousel

For the first time in eBook form, The Empyrean Carousel. The very first novel by
D G Jones from 1990.

For Luke Hannerman a life time of self-torment
has led him to the point of suicide, but when his attempt fails, he encounters a
bizarre and sinister being calling himself Angel, who changes his life forever.

The Empyrean Carousel is a strange, surreal journey through the realms
of human experience, through comedy, tragedy, sex, and death as Angel leads his
new charge into worlds of joy, horror and suffering. And on his way, Luke
encounters both the living and the dead, an ancient forgotten God, the afterlife
in all its darkness, and the infamous Madame Carrion, the cadaverous mistress of
the Shadowlands, spun from the light of the moon itself. Yet all the time, his
mysterious guide appears to have his own agenda which does not always appear to
be in Luke’s best interests. The secrets of creation and the secrets of the
grave are torn wide open as Luke learns the shattering truth of the nature of
existence and what becomes of those who commit suicide.

The Empyrean
Carousel asks the big question, does life have a meaning and a purpose, or is it
just a strange and magical ride we get strapped into and are told to hope for
the best…

“I can’t tell you that life is worthwhile, or even worth living
at all. Most of the time it’s just bullshit anyway, it’s just something that has
to be endured. Why should you be the one who checks out early?” Angel smiled and
shook his head.

Explicit Material: Potentially distressing subject
matter, occasional strong violence, and some sado-masochistic
scenes.

Wormwood

“And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning
as if it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon
the fountains of water; And the name of the star is Wormwood: and the third part
of the waters became wormwood; and many died of the waters, because they were
made bitter.” 8:10/11 Book of Revelation.

The quiet life of Michael
Clark is torn apart when his brother is found murdered in a squalid Islington
apartment, and without warning he is drawn into a world of insanity, destruction
and the occult. Soon Michael is locked in deadly combat with an unknown and
powerful cult, prepared not only to destroy him, but unlock the end of days
itself…

An intense occult thriller with a twisting corrosive plot and
at its heart lurks Wormwood, the fallen black star from the Book of Revelation.
Bringing corruption and death, it is the key to Armageddon and the ever open
door to a global charnel house.

Award winning writer D G Jones returns
with his own warped brand of anarchist occult horror. Wormwood is a white
knuckled novel that explores the power of the supernatural, the will of man and
God, and the echo of a coming apocalypse.
The black star has
fallen.

horror.

Desolate: Only Agony Endures

Six years after the disappearance of his twin sister, John Keller is found
mutilated and dead in his remote farm house out in the cold and desolate
Fenland. Soon events rage out of control in a trail of mayhem and murder, and
for Detective Inspector Peter Christ, a chase begins for a deranged and
relentless killer. But not only does he have to face the deep buried old bones
of the past, but the prospect that his prey might not even be
human…

Set in the icy empty Fenlands and the historic town of Kings
Lynn, Desolate is the all new novel from award winning anarchist occult horror
writer D G Jones. A tale of organized crime, vengeance and the occult fused
together in a limb tearing nightmare of blood-soaked revenge and demonic fury. A
twisted fast paced horror that shatters the peaceful idyll of the countryside
and tears down the barriers of agony and death.

Something is out
there.

mutilation and revenge.

Newly Street

A small terrace like a thousand others, yet something quietly slithers its way
into Newly Street. A malignant evil beyond comprehension has come to lay claim
to a new kingdom, carved from the flesh of mankind itself. Like moths to a black
candle flame; the souls of those long dead are drawn to this unhallowed place,
and with them, the squirming abominations that have crawled from the charnel
houses of hell itself. Only when events take a sinister, unexpected turn do the
eyes of the world turn to Newly Street, and humanity is forced to confront the
power of unknown evil face to face…

Newly Street is the never
before published 2003 novel from award-winning anarchist occult horror writer D.
G. Jones: a disturbing fusion of Lovecraftian horror and existential dread.
Written in four distinctive parts that seek to explore urban isolation and the
unknown, Newly Street at times keeps the characters and events at a distance,
and ultimately, the street becomes the main character.

The Tattoo and Body Piercing Survival Guide

“Is it going to hurt?”
“Are there any risks?”
“What’s it like piercing a
bloke’s Knob?”
Just some of the questions asked in a tattoo studio every day,
THE TATTOO AND BODY PIERCING SURVIVAL GUIDE answers them all, everything you
wanted to know and a few things you didn’t, all packed into this essential
handbook for those brave enough to enter the world of body art. Useful tips,
handy hints and plenty of sexual innuendo, discover the truth about tattoos,
piercing, and bullshit. An absolute shagfest of a book. (Original Back cover
blurb 1999)

At Last!!! Finally released on Kindle!!! The book that
shook the Tattooing World!!! (Warning: Previous statement should read “Prodded
the Tattooing World”). The Tattoo and Body Piercing Survival Guide by D G Jones
(aka Mad Uncle Dave aka the Flayed Prince). Originally released in 1999 and
featured in Skin Deep, this infamous volume finally arrives as an eBook,
spilling its guts and other bodily fluids about the real world of body art.
First released in a limited print run years ago, the guide has become a
collector’s item with genuine copies selling for literally tens of pence, now
available to all in this new, updated format!

Warning: Graphic content,
explicit language and sexual references.

“I spent seven years working
as a body piercing at the Tattoo Club of Northampton and during that fantastic
time, I wrote this booklet which we sold for a local charity through the
magazine Skin Deep and at tattoo conventions in 1999/2000. It went everywhere
and I had fan mail from people around the world, which I have kept all these
years. Of all the things I’ve written, this is one of the most requested to
appear on Kindle. It still makes me laugh even now, and I hope new readers will
enjoy it as much as we did back in the day…” (D G Jones Aug 2012).

Persecution

“With their minds ground down by their own education system, the men of science
learned how to hate those of us who do not accept their indoctrination. And when
their Militia come, all we can do is run and hide and hope not to be
found…”

After an atrocity that claimed the lives of millions, the New
Order of Enlightenment has come to power, a New World Order of eugenics and
fanatical science that seeks to destroy all creativity, spirituality and the
very soul of humanity. Those who do not fit into the new way of thinking are
isolated into ghettos and are slowly being purged from society.
Hiding
beneath the floorboards of an abandoned house, the main character tries to make
sense of why the Militia are coming for him. Three days on the run have cost him
his home, his wife and have left him on the edge of insanity as he attempts to
come to terms with being hunted down. After a brief respite, his pursuers soon
catch up with him and once again he is forced to flee, knowing that if caught, a
world of agony and degradation awaits.
Originally released in 1992,
Persecution is another dark novel from award-winning anarchist writer D G Jones.
The novel contains often difficult to read subject matter with toe-curling,
explicit violence as it takes the reader on a journey culminating in the total
destruction of a human being. Set at a slow, brooding pace, it is a highly
experimental piece where the central character is isolated from some of the main
storylines which are played out in hints and glimpses in the background. As he
is caught in his own struggle to survive, the reader is trapped along with him
in an unfolding claustrophobic nightmare. Although not a prequel to THE MACHINE,
this is the novel in which it first appears, and as always with D G Jones’ work,
the novel is full of secrets, hidden meanings, and subtexts for the reader to
discover. This is a special 20th Anniversary edition, substantially reworked and
exclusive to Kindle.

“In 1992, Persecution was described as ‘vile and
deeply distressing’, which indeed it is. It is not, however, as some would
argue, an anti-science novel per se. Science has brought us some great
innovations, such as better healthcare, transport and communications. However,
it has also brought us eugenics, vivisection and the atomic bomb. The original
version was about religious persecution, but over the years, I turned that on
its head and looked at the darker nature of science, particularly when it gets
mixed up with governments. In truth, the novel is a metaphor and hopefully I
have left enough clues for the reader to decipher its true nature without making
it too obvious.” D G Jones (Interview 25/07/12)

The School
From award winning writer D G Jones, aka The Flayed Prince, comes
a one off short story written for charity, exclusive to Amazon.

Deep
within the Hive, Petrov struggles to survive in the nightmare institution of The
School. With his companion Thel, he seeks to escape to the snow laden frontier
of the over world, but between them and freedom, a legion of abominations await…

ALL PROCEEDS GOING TO CHARITY: SPEADA
“Please be aware this is one brief
short story, not a full book or novel, and I wouldn’t want anyone buying it
under false pretences then feeling ripped off. I have been given the chance to
raise awareness and hopefully some cash for a fantastic charity that does so
much for its local community in Kings Lynn. It’s written in a unique and unusual
way, perhaps not as difficult as THE MACHINE, but there is a reason, which
becomes clear at the end of the tale. I hope you join me in my humble effort to
help a wonderful organization, and of course, you are getting an exclusive Dave
story. Many thanks and I wish you all the best. Also thanks to the folks at
Amazon for their guidance and support in this venture. “ D G Jones.

western capitalism, and asks difficult questions of modernity.

Strange Erotica

Love, the eternal intoxicating madness of the soul, the gentle kiss that calms
the raging agony of loneliness and ignites the pulsating throb of the genitals.

Thaylian Asylum, “ Strange Erotica- Sick Sexual Encounters” is the all new mini
book from award winning anarchist occult horror writer, D G Jones. With gunshot
to the knee subtly and scant regard for any level of human decency, Strange

involves sucking meat worms from the odd corpse?

Politically Motivated

Never afraid to try something different, D G Jones presents Politically
Motivated, a mini book of political thrillers coloured with surreal humour.
Forgoing his usual explicit sex and violence as in THE MACHINE or the sick and
depraved imagery of Strange Erotica, he instead makes use of the most powerful
weapon in any writer’s arsenal, sarcasm. With corrosive wit and acid venom D G
Jones launches his size 10 boot firmly into the groin of the political
establishment in an oddball ensemble of politically motivated stories. This book
is for anyone who has had enough of politicians…

Politically
Motivated includes:

An audacious attempt to assassinate the Prime
Minister by breaking wind.

The Government’s novel initiative to solving
long term unemployment.

The letter many would love to send.

Snowy
the cat accidently causes Armageddon.

A new era of politics where the ad
men have taken control and suddenly being fat or ugly is punishable by death.

Contains some bad language and occasional flatulence.

Dave Malarkey

Ejaculating from one of the most unique minds in the twenty first century comes
Dave Malarkey, an all new mini collection of short stories by award winning
author D G Jones, aka The Flayed Prince.

For those who have never tasted
Dave-ism (a fusion of anarchist/occult/horror sometimes served with a side of
humour), this is the perfect starter, offering a delicious banquet of
masturbation, necrophilia, hideous monstrosities and for some reason, the
inclusion of a red plastic dog. This buffet however, is not for the faint of
heart.

Dave Malarkey Contains:

Miss Wiggles- A story of internet
pornography, soiled tissues and consequences.

Ypres- The hidden horrors
of war that stalk the battlefield.

Ode to Lydia- A mournful ode to Lydia
and untimely chainsaw related death.

Duplicity Red- For the love of a
demoness, one man knows no limits.

Bongo Woggle- A short tale concerning
Bongo Woggle and his red plastic dog, Sqwelch.

The House on Lincoln
Street- The house beside the graveyard has a new, very different
resident.

Sample from The Oddball Express- Chapter 4. Meet Woody, a real
vampire who can only be described as repulsive.

Fictional Reviewer
Samantha Gangrene: “The work of D G Jones, The Flayed Prince, is better than sex
and if I was real I would shag him in a heartbeat. His work is like finger
painting with excrement, only forgetting to put the gloves on first.”

Dave Malarkey is one hundred per cent Dave, and one hundred percent
strange, so why not treat yourself?

WARNING: Contains some explicit and
potentially offensive material.

Jones returns with a trio of mini books filled with his own brand of horror,
humour and general piss taking. Often described as a writer who is highly
disturbed, dangerously insane and that weird bloke who likes cats, these new
collections contain some of his most amusing and disgusting tales. One minute
cringing in horror, the next completely bemused or soiling themselves with
laughter, the reader is treated to some of the best weird and wonderful fiction
around. Recently reviewed as “having someone pulling out your entrails while
telling you naff jokes from a Christmas Cracker”, this collection is a must for
those seeking the strange, unusual and the downright silly.

The Oddball Express

“A vampire? A real vampire?” Is this a wind up I wondered, had Squeaky set me up
with a bunch of comedians and any minute now was going to spring out of the boot
laughing his tits off? No, I already packed the boot.
“Yes, but real
vampires are not like the ones you see in the movies. Nothing like what you see
in the movies.”
“No?”
“Except for the garlic, they hate it.”
“Well at
least that’s something.” Any minute now, I thought, come on Squeaky, get me out
of this. “So what do I wear it round my neck or something?”
“Nope. You stick
it up your arse.” Her face was like granite. “Nothing like you see in the
movies.”

1986. Unemployed, angry, foul-mouthed and generally
hopeless, the narrator joins the staff of the Oddball Express, an underground
publication that deals with stories of the occult and the unexplained. Renamed
13 throughout, (the last twelve assistants having been killed or gone insane),
he slowly learns the true nature of the publication and that reality is a long
way from what he has been taught. Desperately preoccupied with losing his
virginity, 13 soon discovers the battle between good and evil is already lost,
and all that stands between humanity and its demise is him, a large-chested
journalist and a handful of misshapen anarchists…

The Oddball Express
is a fast paced comic horror thriller that re-imagines many occult ideas and
conspiracy theories against the backdrop of the unemployment and financial
hardship of the eighties. The novel explores various themes, in particular the
failure of hegemonic masculinity, the competing factions of evil, the politics
of oppression and the relationship between perception and
reality.

Contains offensive material and graphic descriptions of
stupidity.
